The Department of Health is committed to promoting healthy lifestyles, especially healthy eating. To help the public to adopt the healthy eating principles, the Elderly Health Service of the Department of Health has compiled this Healthy Recipes Cookbook which is a collection of 36 healthy recipes ranging from main dishes to desserts and snacks. The special features of the cookbook include an introduction of different types of diets in each section and a nutrient analysis for each recipe. Servings of food groups as compared to the recommended daily intakes of the Food Guide Pyramid are provided to help readers to meet the recommendations. Notes on Special Diets will be useful for readers who have special dietary needs. We sincerely hope that this cookbook can help readers to maintain good health through the enjoyment of delicious and healthy dishes.
