This is the fourth issue of Toothache magazine. It features a wide range of chefs from Mexico City, Texas, New Orleans, Nashville, Atlanta, San Francisco, Spain, London, and Italy. Like our previous issues, this magazine is made by chefs, for chefs. It aims to give some of the media power back to the chefs and it gives them free reign over what content they would like to share. Toothache是一本小型的獨立雜誌,是在與業界朋友共進晚餐的時後發想的,主要是在地下酒吧打烊前的最後一次點酒的時候。談美食的媒體很多時候是由那些沒有在廚房生活或呼吸油煙的人製作的。 通常,就是只有冗長的文章,一些圖片和杯碗湯瓢組成。想想也難怪,因為他們通常不是為我們廚師寫作,而是為家庭或所謂“美食家”寫作。然而,本刊的目標就是還給我們一點媒體的權力;製作一本大廚或從業人員真正想讀的雜誌。真正是看門道不看熱鬧的一本專業雜誌。
