Amari Luu
Amari Luu is a student at Stanford University who cares deeply about history, politics, and the world around him. While in college, he hoped to create something that would not only bring joy but also gently share meaningful lessons—like the importance of being honest and making amends when mistakes are made. He worked on Silly Marmots alongside his mom. Together, they created a tender and thoughtful series where each story quietly highlights a different character trait, offering warmth, understanding, and gentle guidance for young readers.
Chien Yi Luu
Creating this series of marmot picture books together with my son has been especially meaningful, now that he is far away at Stanford. Even though we are separated by time and distance, we are still connected—working together toward our shared dreams and understanding. From this, Silly Marmot was created.
It is not only a bond of love, but also a mark of Amari’s growing up. Facing mistakes, learning to make amends—these are lessons he carried with him from childhood into his first year of independent life at college. Through these little stories, he hopes to share those lessons with you too.
Thank you for taking the time to read our words, and see our hearts.
