2020臺灣高齡健康與長照服務年報參考美國Healthy People的理論架構，其宗旨為高齡者的健康受個人生理與行為因子、物理環境及社會環境因子、健康與長照政策及服務、以及高品質醫療與照顧可近性等影響；我們綜合考量日本、美國、歐盟等國外高齡資料統計報告，最後以人口、經濟、健康狀況、預防保健與行為、醫療與長照、社會參與及居住安排等6大類別，蒐集現有統計資料作成圖表，或收集相關調查資料進行指標統計分析。
