The remainder of the book covers all the aspects that one needs to know about commercial arbitration, including the advantages and disadvantages of arbitration in general; the laws and rules; the appointment of a sole arbitrator or a tribunal; the arbitrator’s jurisdiction, duties, and authorities, and how they are defined within the Arbitration Ordinance (Cap. 609); the arbitration process; the contents of an arbitral award and the recognition and enforcement of the award; and cost-saving techniques in arbitration.

作者簡介：

Stephen D. Mau has more than twenty-five years of legal and business experience in the United States and Hong Kong. Before his retirement, he spent eleven years teaching in the Master of Science/Postgraduate Diploma in Construction Law and Dispute Resolution program in the Department of Building and Real Estate at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, a HKMAAL-accredited mediator (general), and a RICS-accredited evaluative mediator. He has published articles in international arbitration journals in addition to four books with HKU Press.
